Mary Baull Obituary

Mary Ella Baull SOUTHPORT - Mary Ella Baull, 94, of Southport, formerly of Virginia Beach, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 at Dosher Nursing Center in Southport. Mrs. Baull was born March 13, 1916 in Accomack County, Virginia, daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Spence Isdell. She was a charter member of First Colonial Baptist Church of Virginia Beach, and taught the 4-year old Sunday school class for many years. Everyone who knew her affectionately called her Nana. Mrs. Baull was preceded in death by her husband James Baull; daughter, Janice Withrow; stepdaughter, Martha Parry; stepson, George Baull; great-grandson, Chris Martin; brothers, Samuel Isdell Jr., Cecil Isdell and Roy Isdell; sisters, Susie Fluhart and Hattie Kellam. Survivors include three daughters, Gay McQueeney and husband Bob of Cherryville, N.C., Frances Withrow and husband Wayne of Spring Hill, Fla., Sharon Martin and husband Charles of Oak Island, N.C.; stepdaughters, Anne Baull of Virginia Beach and Betty Hornbeak of Parker, Ariz.; stepson, William Baull of Homestead, Fla.; sisters, Frances Thackeray of Quimby, Va., Ruth Horton and husband HB of Inwood, W.Va.; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Princess Anne Memorial Gardens in Virginia Beach. You may send online condolences to www.peacocknewnamwhite.com.
