Pedro Garcia-Bernal Obituary

Pedro Garcia-Bernal VIRGINIA BEACH - Pedro Garcia-Bernal, 26, died unexpectedly Monday, July 5, 2010 at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. Pedro was a native of Mexico and was working as a foreman with Broad Bay Contracting, Virginia Beach. Surviving are his wife, Flor, who is expecting their first child; two stepsons, Eric and Ortillo; his brother, Ignacio Garcia-Bernal. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymundo Garcia and Dionicia Bernal. A funeral will be at 7 p.m. Friday, July 9, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach. Burial will follow at a later date in his hometown of Puebla, Mexico. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.altmeyer.com. Pedro was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by many including his family and Chuck and Scott Labiak.

Pedro was a wonderful influence and support to his step-son Eric. He was instrumental in helping the VBCPS staff to relay information with Eric's mother. He will be missed.
