Peggy Castello Obituary

Peggy L. Castello SUFFOLK - Peggy L. Castello, 58, died Sept. 18, 2010 at Sentara Obici Hospital. Born in Corbin, Ky., she was a former flight attendant with United Airlines and was co-owner of the Happy Horse Bar & Grill. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 20 years, Wayne Goodwin Castello; one daughter, Carla Marie Venable of Beaverdam, Wis.; one son, Michael Furseth of Wisconsin; her mother, Mattie Raleigh Barnett of Virginia Beach; three stepdaughters, Bonnie Smailes (Paul) and Lynne Swartz (Bill), all of Elizabeth City, N.C., Gay Spencer of Hertford, N.C.; one stepson, Dennis Castello (Patricia) of Virginia Beach; one sister, Irene Barnett of Virginia Beach; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Castello was predeceased by her father, Oscar Junior Barnett. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Sept. 21, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, where the funeral will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev.
