Mr. Nichols loved sports and wanted to be a professional baseball player, but instead was an amazing softball pitcher playing well into his early seventies with players that included teenagers. He loved running and ran competitively into his early seventies. He won many long distance running awards including fourth place in the Shamrock Marathon. Peggy and Nick, you are in our thoughts and prayers. It is hard to be so far from home at a time like this. Uncle Ralph was such a dear person...loving and kind. I have some wonderful memories of times together when we were all much younger than now. He touched so many people. Will see you all when we get home.
