Ramona Boone Obituary

Ramona G. Boone NORFOLK - Ramona G. Boone, 81, of the 100 block of Westmont Ave., passed away May 28, 2010 in her home. A native of Edgecombe County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Elva Gray and the widow of Robert A. Boone Sr. She was an office manager with Rices Department Store for 20 years. She was a member of Talbot Park Baptist Church. She is survived by her three sons, Robert A. Boone Jr. and wife Meredith of Missouri, Roy D. Boone and wife Nancy of Charlottesville, Va., and Stewart Boone of Norfolk; a brother, Elliott A. Gray of Norfolk; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Boone Hampton. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, June 12, at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

Sympathy to my our cousins and nephews from Kathy (Punkin), Frances and Uncle Bob. We remember Aunt Romona as always having a lot of fun and a good joke. Love to all. Kathy and Bob Beckel and Frances Aldridge in Indio CA and Roanoke Va.
