Roger T. Vaughan VIRGINIA BEACH - Roger T. Vaughan, 51, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 1, 2011. He was born Dec. 2, 1959, in Indianapolis to William M. and Rita A. Vaughan. Most of his childhood was spent in Pittsburgh. As a teenager, he began volunteer work at Chesapeake Beach Rescue Squad and graduated from Bayside High. He received his Bachelor's from Old Dominion University. As an active member of his community, he volunteered at Pembroke Meadows Elementary and Recreation Center. Roger worked as a fire-fighter/paramedic in York County. He had been a Neonatal-Pediatric paramedic at the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters for 25 years. He was pursuing his entrepreneurial passion as co-founder of Childrens' Health First Inc. that focused on the development of specialized products for neonatal-pediatric care. As a loving husband, father, brother, son, co-worker and friend, Roger will be sadly missed. Roger is survived by his wife, Kim and daughters, Savannah and Casey. Remaining siblings and family include, Bill, Jaime and Michael Vaughan of Odessa, Fla., Richard, Rubio and Zaou Vaughan of Bergen aan Zee, Holland, Joe Vaughan and Rebecca Craft of Pullman, Wash., Mary Vaughan, Hugh, Greyson, and Corianna Moffatt of Nashville, Tenn., Jim and Carol Gorman of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., Tim, Kristi, Alexandra, Breanne, and Timothy Gorman of Frisco, Texas. A memorial service and reception will be held at Old Donation Episcopal Church, 4449 N.
