Rose Hill Obituary

Rose Wilson Hill NORFOLK - Rose Wilson Hill, 98, passed away April 16, 2010 in Norfolk. A native of Winfield, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Latha and Betty Wilson and the widow of Thomas Floyd Hill Sr. She was a retired school teacher with Crossroads Elementary School. She was a graduate of The College of William & Mary. She was raised in a Junior Order Homes in Tiffon, Order and taught there for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Green and husband William of Damascus, Md.; two sons, Thomas Floyd Hill Jr. and wife Patricia of Pittsboro, N.C., and Lawrence Hill and wife Louise of Norfolk; a sister, Dorothy Hussar of Blacksburg, Va.; a brother, Oscar Wilson of Tiffon, Ohio; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, John Hill. A funeral will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, with the Rev. James Dunlap officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 7 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

I know Rose is in a better place. Her 98 years on this earth saw many changes in the world; however the human condition of love never changes and I will miss her. She is now with her husband and son; out of pain and at peace...
