Sybil Glisson

Sybil Grace Glisson CHESAPEAKE - Sybil Grace Glisson, 66, passed away Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Goldsboro, N.C., on Feb. 4, 1943, the daughter of the late Rae and Sybil Brown Glisson. She was an active member in the Stumpy Lake Ladies Golf Association and the Kempsville Greens Ladies Golf Association. She had worked as director of anesthesia at Chesapeake General Hospital for more than 20 years. She also worked as a nurse anesthetist at DePaul Medical Center. Sybil was very proud of her golf game shooting in the 80s. She is survived by her life partner, Cheryl Lesko; her two brothers, Robert Glisson and his wife Jean and Thomas R. Glisson; her niece, Kim Stuart; nephew, Scott Glisson; and close family friends, Greg and Carolyn Satz. There will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, in the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. Ricky Mayhue will officiate.
