Thomas McAllister Obituary

Thomas McAllister VIRGINIA BEACH - Thomas W. McAllister passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010. Born in Queens, N.Y., he served in the United States Navy, was a veteran of the Korean War and retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of New York. Thomas lived on Long Island, N.Y., and Crystal River, Fla., prior to moving to Virginia Beach. He was predeceased by his son, Kevin. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Anne McAllister; his sons, Thomas McAllister of Brightwaters, N.Y., Donald and Brian McAllister of Virginia Beach; his daughters, Sharon Riordan and husband Jack of Brightwaters, N.Y., and Colleen McAllister Grego and husband Steven of Baiting Hollow, N.Y.; sister, Patricia Forde and husband Terry of Florida; and loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services were private and he will be buried beside his son in Long Island National Cemetery (Pine Lawn). Online condolences may be expressed at www.cremate. org.
