Virginia Stewart Obituary

Virginia B. Stewart CHESAPEAKE - Virginia B. Stewart, 85, of the 2000 block of Emmett Drive, passed away Feb. 18, 2008, in Virginia Beach. A native of Roduco, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Mott and Lucille Brown. She was a retired medical secretary and attended Norfolk Business College. She is survived by her husband, George E. Stewart Sr.; his son, George E. Stewart Jr. and wife Lori of Virginia Beach; her daughter, Sandra Chapman Allen of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Mandy Bryant and husband Thomas of Chesapeake, George E. Stewart III, Aaron Stewart and Brittany Stewart, all of Virginia Beach; four great-granddaughters, Alexis, Jessica, Aspen and Brooke Bryant; a sister, Karen Brown Averette and husband Al of Greenville, N.C.; a brother, Gerald Brown of Athens, Ga.; and a niece and nephew, Kimberly and Bryan Averette of Greenville. A funeral will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Rosewood Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The burial will follow in Rosewood. The family will receive friends in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

Mr. Stewart I was sadden to hear of the passing of Virginia. I am Sharon, Dr. Rands nurse. We will miss her smiling face. Our prayers and thoughts are will you. God Bless.
