Virginia Pulliam Maffeo was an honest, kind and loving person. She loved to be in the company of children. Mom was our fixit man. She grew up on the farm where you had to make do with what you had. She could take apart and fix a vacuum and washing machine lickity split all the while wearing her dress and heels. She could whistle any song any time beautifully. She could also make the best bow and arrow and sling shot any tomboy could ever want. She wasn't fancy but was always classy. She liked to sit and listen. Throw out a zinger or two just often enough to showcase her quick wit. She gave that joy of spirit to her girls. She wasn't too concerned if we used her hope chest for a tap dancing stage. Guess she figured we were making memories. We are so lucky to have so many great memories of our Loving Mother. We will miss her dearly. Debbie Maffeo Franklin

First of all, I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Virginia. I knew her from Our Lady of Perpetual Help. She was the first one to say "How are you" every time. I'm going to miss seeing her smiling face. The family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
