Virginia McCloughan Obituary

Virginia A. McCloughan VIRGINIA BEACH - Virginia A. McCloughan, 74, of Onancock, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010 in Virginia Beach after battling cancer for the past two years. She was born Feb. 23, 1936 in Washington, D.C., to Frank and Lillian Nichols. She is survived by her son, Mike McCloughan of Virginia Beach; daughter, Cathy Wyne of Poolesville, Md.; brother, Tom Nichols of Wanque, N.J.; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Don. She graduated from Blair High School and was employed by the Montgomery County school system. She touched many with her love, humor and kindness throughout her life. She was active in her community as a Cancer Society volunteer, Daughter of the American Revolution, a member of the Onancock Baptist Church and she was a Explorer Post leader serving as a role model for young men and women. In lieu of flowers, send memorials in the name of Virginia McCloughan to the American Cancer Society. A memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
