Charles R. Lauchner VIRGINIA BEACH - Charles Robert Lauchner, 69, of the 200 block of Capot Road, passed away July 16, 2009, in Nags Head, N.C. A native of Bloomsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles and Verna Lauchner. He retired from the United States Navy after 22 years of service and also retired from civil service. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gloria C. Lauchner; two sons, Charles E. Lauchner of Chesapeake and Michael Lauchner of Virginia Beach; a granddaughter, Reagan L. Lauchner of Chesapeake; a sister, Elizabeth Morrissey of Cary, N.C.; three nieces, Terry Rumsey of Leonardtown, Md., Tammy Watts of Palm Bay, Fla., Megan Morrissey of Longmont, Colo.; and a nephew, Matthew Morrissey of Clayton, N.C. A funeral will be conducted Saturday at 6 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, with the Rev. Donald Staton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia Foundation or the American Heart Association. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

Cookie, Chuck, and Michael,

I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved Husband and Father.
My thoughts are prayers are with you and your family during this extremely difficult time. I wish you comfort, peace, and strength in all the days ahead. Chuck was a humerous, kind, and generous Man and boy could he catch those flounder!!!
