Kenneth Stapp Obituary


Kenneth Darrell Stapp TRIANGLE - Kenneth Darrell Stapp went to be with the Lord Nov. 5, 2008, following an extended illness. Ken was born March 3, 1938, in Wichita Falls, to Freda and Othell Stapp who preceded him in death. Ken served his country for more than 40 years in the military resale business. He held senior leadership positions in several companies including his last assignment as president of Dixon Mill brands-Exchange division. Ken was proud of his lifelong association with the American Logistics Association where he held past positions as the local Dallas Fort Worth chapter president, as well as national level positions including head of the National Exchange Council and member of the board of directors including chairman. Ken was active in many charities and organizations. He was especially involved and proud of the work he did with his church, Abundant Life in Grapevine, Texas. He was very active in many different areas of church ministry. Ken especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Ken leaves behind his wife, Robin Stapp; his son, Ric Stapp; daughter, Elizabeth Stapp; his sisters, Sue Gideon and Kay Baker; two stepchildren, Meagan and Matthew Hovey; four grandchildren, Darrell Griffin, Shannon Spruill and Suzanne and Elias Hurtado; and three great-grandchildren, Hiliarie, Jasmine and Isaiahs Hurtado. A memorial service will be held today at 2 p.m. in Abundant Life Church in Grapevine, Texas. A burial service will take place at Tapp Funeral Home Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Sulphur Springs, Texas. The family requests that any donations be given to support the Abundant Life Church.
