Mr. Daniel was a fine man, a gentleman of many talents. I worked for him in Washington when he served in the U.S. Congress. He served there with dedication and selflessness. I admired him greatly.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Bob Daniel. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bob's family and friends. I had the pleasure of working for Bob at DOE. He was a true Southern gentleman and very dedicated and gracious manager. We shared a common history of military and Agency affiliations so I am well aware of his accomplishments in those areas.
I will always have fond memories of Bob and appreciate all that he did for our great country.
Blessings and best wishes,

I never knew Mr. Daniel but had the opportunity of meeting him at the wedding of his stepdaughter and my friend Tom Wood years ago. I will always remember Mr. Daniel waiting on the steps, camera in hand, ready to get that perfect picture as they left on their honeymoon. He looked so proud of both Leanne and Tom as they started their new life together. You are in my prayers and thoughts Leanne and Lesley and hope that you have fond memories of your stepdad.

So very sorry to hear about Cousin Bob. Some of my best childhood memories are of spending Christmas Day at Brandon with Aunt Charlotte and Bob and playing with the Corgis. And talking to Bob about all his adventures. He was a true Virginian and will be very missed. My prayers go to Charlotte, Nell and Linda. Mimi Daniel

I did not know Mr Daniel but had the opportunity to meet him at the wedding of my friend Tom Wood and his stepdaughter Leanne. I will always remember the day they were married and will never forget watching Mr. Daniel as he was waiting, with his camera in hand, to get that special picture of Tom and Leanne as they came out the door to get in the car to leave on their honeymoon. He looked so proud of both Tom and Leanne as they left. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of the family. Bridgett Keene

Bobby and I shared experiences at Woodberry Forest School and later with the Society of the Cincinnati. He was always a gracious gentleman. While we seldom saw each other, he was always
glad to see me. I will miss him.

Sad news indeed. I had the pleasure of knowing Bob when I was News Director in Petersburg. During that time, he sent me many nice memos over something I had done. He also wrote an unsolicitated letter for my job resume, recommending me to VDSS. We lost contact over the years, but i'll always remember him as a true Southern Gentleman & one of the few politicians I actually liked. Prayers to the family. RIP Bob !!
