Henk was my dad's best friend. We loved him so much, and I was just thinking about him today and our families' good times together.

Harold and I carpooled from the beach to Planter's in downtown Suffolk for the relatively short time that I worked there. He was always upbeat and lively, he knew what was going on around the plant, and he was a great pleasure to share a car with for two hours each working day.

Uncle Harold was a special part of my life. As a little girl he remembered me with mementos from his Naval assignments, visited with older brother PB and me at Fernwood. My husband and Uncle Harold shared life and stories of their Naval careers. He was so proud of Clayton, Lewis and his grand children. A special, soft spoken, gentleman will be missed.

Hank was such a good friend to my father. I would always love it when Hank and Louise would come by Ivy Drive. They always told such interesting stories. The last time I saw Hank, he told me about the successes of Lewis and Clayton. He was so proud of his children. We will all miss his good nature.

I'll really miss Hank! He was such a special part of our choir trip to England. I will miss waiting for him after the Sunday services to exchange hugs. He was such a sweet man.

Hank was a wonderful man. I remember when he and Louise were the sweetest couple and they would come over to the Hart's all the time and party with all of us. We loved him and even after Louise passed on, the connection continued. You will be sorely missed Hank, a true gentleman. Love, Carol Rooney Horton
