Clyde Fishuel Hill, Jr.

Norfolk - Clyde Fishuel Hill, Jr., age 91, a native of Norfolk, VA passed away peacefully at his home in Kings Grant Sunday morning January 22, 2017.

Mr. Hill was retired President of Berkley Feed Corporation and Carva Food Corporation, both founded by his late father Clyde F. Hill, Sr., founder of Turf and Garden Suppliers, Inc. He was a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church in Norfolk until 1984 and was currently a member of First Presbyterian Church of Martinsville. He was active in community affairs; had been a member and President of Tidewater Food Dealers Assn,

Vice President of Norfolk Junior Chamber of Commerce, Virginia Beach Lodge, Khedive Temple Shrine, President of Norfolk Rotary Club, President of Norfolk SPCA, Board of Directors Boys Clubs of Norfolk and served in the U. S. Army in Europe in World War II, decorated in key battles of Ardennes, Bulge, and Remagen. Mr. Hill was a skilled woodworker and could be counted on to fix anything.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Amis Hill; a daughter, Susan Hill Wadsworth (husband Dean) of Roanoke, VA; and son, Clyde F. Hill, III (wife Laura) of Keller, TX. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Meredith W (and Bill) Prillaman, Sarah Hill Wadsworth, and Gordon William Wadsworth (wife Emily), Elizabeth Virginia Hill and John Tinsley Hill; great-grandson, Will Prillaman.

A memorial service will be held at Kings Grant Victory Chapel on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Private burial will be in Norfolk, VA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kings Grant Fellowship Fund, Mountain Valley Hospice, or First Presbyterian Church Martinsville.
