Mary Rosa Hauck

Chesapeake - Mary Rosa Stokeley Hauck, 94 passed away Sunday June 11, 2017. She was born in Princess Anne County, Va. Feb. 27 1923 to James O. Stokeley and Addie Prettyman who predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Peter Hauck, daughter Betty Roseanne May, and only sister Inez Willoughby. She is survived by her children, Brenda Kenny (Robert), Norfolk, Donald Hauck (Charlotte) Va, Beach, Teresa Riggins (Wesley), Orinda CA., and Barbara Dautrich (James) of Wayne PA., her son-in-law, Richard May of Va Beach, her grandchildren: Christopher May and Sharon M. Hollowell, Erin K. Sciarrino and Courtney K. von Bostel, Nell Hauck, Ryan and Mathew Riggins and Katherine, Jack and Chase Dautrich. Rosa had 7 great grandchildren.

Rosa was active in her community and church. Her family is grateful for the care provided by Cedar Manor Assisted Living, especially Pat and her special friends Eunice Chadwick and Jason Lindstrom.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10am, Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Cedar Rd., Chesapeake with a reception afterward. Memorial donations may be made to Prince of Peace Catholic Church. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apt., Laskin Road Chapel, Va Beach is handling arrangements.

I'm so sorry to hear that Mrs.Rosa has passed. She lived across the street from my mom for many years and I used to work for her. She was the sweetest person I have ever met in my life and she will be deeply missed!
