EAST PEORIA - Diana L. Dingledine, 65, of East Peoria, Ill., passed away peacefully at her winter home in Carefree, Ariz., on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, after a battle with cancer.
Diana was born Jan. 10, 1949, to Roland Henderson and Betty J. (Leninger) Henderson of East Peoria.
She is survived by her loving husband, Donald J. Dingledine; sons, Jeremy Ellwood of Peoria Heights and Jason (Jennifer) Wurster of St. Joseph, Mich.; and stepdaughter, Christine (Jason) Winchester of LaGrange, Ill.
Also surviving are her two nieces, Jamie Henderson of Washington, Ill., and Erin (Phil) Watt of Peoria; as well as six granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Terri Jo Wurster; and brother, Charlie Henderson of Peoria.
Diana was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling the country. She was particularly fond of long rides with Don on their Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Easter Seals DuPage and the Fox Valley Region or Easter Seals Central Illinois.

Just heard of Diana's passing. We were cousins our fathers were brothers. We called Diana Reeny growing up. She looked a lot like our grandmother who was also a beautiful woman. She always had a big smile and was a bright light in our family. My love and sympathy to her family.
