PEKIN - Cecilia G. Rearden, 87, of Pekin passed away at 1:02 a.m. Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Pekin Hospital.
Cecilia was born July 4, 1923, in Roseville, Ky., to Gregory M. and Agnes L. (Bickett) Roby. She married Truman Rearden on Aug. 8, 1943, in Roseville, Ky. He passed away June 13, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Scott; one sister; and six brothers.
Cecilia is survived by 10 children, Ray (Sharon) Rearden of Pekin, Jeanie (Jerry) Hasse of Chillicothe, Ill., Darrell (Kathy) Rearden of Morton, Carolyn (Earl) Riley of East Peoria, Richard Rearden of Peoria, Steve (Mary) Rearden of Denver, Colo., Gary Rearden of Pekin, Cheryl (Dan) Fredette of Chicopee, Mass., Mark (Jeannette) Rearden of Shrewsbury, Mass., and Jeff (Gail) Rearden of Pekin; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Cecilia was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Cecilia was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2011, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Father Timothy Nolan will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at Henderson Funeral Home, with the rosary recited at 7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph's Church, 303 S. Seventh St., Pekin, IL 61554.
