CREVE COEUR - Kenneth William "Bill" Doering Jr., 50, passed away at 6:25 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at his home in Creve Coeur.
He was born March 23, 1960, in Peoria to Kenneth W. and Margaret (Behrens) Doering Sr.
Surviving are two brothers, David (Ruby) Peters of Creve Coeur and Charles (Sharon) Doering of Gamaliel, Ark.; three sisters, Janice (Jim) Heinz and Geralyn (Willard) McCombs, both of Dahinda, and Deborah (Terry) Wilson of Davenport, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Bill worked for the Bemis Bag Company in Peoria for 27 years, retiring in 2006 as a pressman.
A member of the Farmington Sportsmen's Club, Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was also an animal lover and a wine maker.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Pastor Chuck Wilcox will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Private burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.

My dear brother, the countless laughs, triumphs and lessons we've shared on all our expeditions through life, hunting, fishing, ATVing, camping, boating, the list goes on, are now only my memories. We had so much more to make. You were a special uncle to my kids. I will miss you so much.
