Arturo Silva Obituary
MAPLETON - Arturo Silva Jr., 38, of Mapleton, IL, passed away at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016, in the emergency room of Graham Hospital in Canton, IL, due to injuries suffered from a natural gas explosion.
He was born on July 3, 1978, in Peoria, the son of Arturo and Maria Anaya Silva Sr.
Surviving are his parents; and one brother, Danny Silva; along with a host of many other family members.
Arturo was a 1997 graduate of Illini Bluffs High School in Glasford, IL. He worked for KRESS Corporation in Brimfield as a welder, later for Thillens-ATM Services, and most recently for Ameren for the last 3 months as an apprentice gas utility man.
Art enjoyed fishing hunting and being with family and friends.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial life celebration service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016, at the Bartonville American Legion, 4501 S. Airport Rd, Bartonville, IL.
Services have been entrusted to Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington and notes of condolences may be sent using www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
