Glenn was my friend. I miss him every day. He was a fairly serious man that I could make laugh. It was my privilege to meet him. At the Poway VFW we traded stories and shared great conversation. He was always willing to help at the Post.

Thank you sir for our Countries victories, your leadership and example.

Jesus said to us, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.

I had interviewed and corresponded with Orrel a number of years ago regarding the Juneau. His survival was a miracle, and I know that he and the others felt very strange about it. The timing and transfer was beyond luck, it was providential. Thus the world was to benefit from having Orrel all these years, while virtually his entire crew of shipmates were taken from it in 1942.
