Robert Fisk Obituary
Mr. Fisk was the proud owner-operator of Bob Fisk Meats in Poway from 1962 to 1977.
He is survived by his sons, Tom of El Cajon, Steve of Las Vegas, NV, Richard of Napa, CA, Russell of Poway and Roy of Rancho Bernardo; sister, Arlin Reid of Washington; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at 1pm at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma. A no-host reception will follow at Kaminski's in Poway at 4pm. An open house will be held at Bob's home.
In lieu of flowers, please make any contributions to Home of Guiding Hands in El Cajon, CA.

Bob was one of my oldest friends in Poway . Many memories ,too many to write about, he & Fran were special.I will miss our weekly visits & of course my yearly banana bread

My first memory of Mr. Fisk was as a kid, when my dad took my brother and me to see the butcher, which was just around the corner from the house, next to the ARCO gas station and next to Speedy Mart. We would stop in to pick up a side of beef that had been ordered. And there behind the counter was Mr. Fisk, cutting the meet and hanging the side of beef on the hooks. His forearms were huge, and he would always want to shake hand with you. He would just squeeze my hand so tight, and with that big smile of his look at you until you said uncle!
We would load up the car and take the side of beef home and load it in the freezer. Then on a Saturday evening, there he was with his wife, the Cameron's, and the Wiget's all playing bridge.
My mother, Margo, and Dad, Joe were very close to Bob and would often visit with him regularly. I last visited Bob two years ago at his home.
It so happened that he passed on my 55 birthday, and with that he will always be remembered for his kindness, his bridge play and that big forearm and hand shake.
