Lynne Jordan Obituary

PONTOTOC – Lynne Jordan, 67, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 4, 2014. She was born April 6, 1947. She was a member of West Heights Baptist Church in Pontotoc. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved her cat, Garfield.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Dr. David Hamilton will be officiating. Burial will be in Edington Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include a son, Buddy Jordan (Janice) of Walhalla, S.C.; two daughters, Rebecca Kelly of Starkville and Chasity Tutor (Tim) of Pontotoc; six grandsons, Brennan Tutor, Nathan Tutor, Adam Tutor, Andrue Tutor, Tyler Jordan and Matthew Sims; three great-grandsons, Kayden Tutor, Reylon Hughes and Braylon Sims; four sisters, Patsy Grigson of Willis, Texas, Jane Sanders (Freddy) of Hooks, Texas, Sandra Jackson (Frank) of Jackson and Kathy Dowdy of Pontotoc; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Jordan; parents, James H. and Hazel Patterson; grandson, Wesley Jordan; and brother-in-law, Ted Dowdy.
Pallbearers will be Brennan Tutor, Nathan Tutor, Andrue Tutor, Matthew Sims, Tyler Dowdy and Tyler Jordan. Honorary pallbearer will be Adam Tutor.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Tutor Memorial Funeral Home.
