Gerald Brooks

Gerald K. Brooks "KK" age 60 passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 in Crown Point, Indiana. She was born on July 9, 1955 in Jackson, Tennessee. Gerald received her education in the Gary Community School System. She graduated from Roosevelt High School Class of 1973. She accepted Christ in 1970 and United with Metropolitan Baptist Church. In 1980 she united with the New Mt. Moriah Baptist Church family where she served with the Youth and Young Adult Usher Board and later the Adult Usher Board until her health began to fail. Gerald K. Brooks was preceded in death by her mother Geraldine McBeth; 2 brothers Kerry Brooks, and Danny Vaughn. She leaves to cherish her memory: son Dion Brooks, 2 brothers Tracy (Mary) Brooks, and Barry (Martha) Vaughn; 2 sisters-in-law, Godmother Mother Alberta Gardner, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation Monday, May 2, 2016 from 9 to 11am with funeral services immediately following at 11:00am all at the New Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 1917 Carolina St. Rev. W.N. Reed, Officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
