My condolences go out to the Hicks family. Not only was Mr. Hicks a part of our youth usher board back when I was a teenager but he also coached us to a championship in our church basketball team. I saw Mr. Hicks about 2 yrs ago when my aunt passed and he still remembered me. He was a good man and may he rest in heaven.

A great person to know. He was our Vice president at USW Local 1066. He stood up for me at an important time on my job. We always joked with one another. He was ,as far as I am concerned the greatest referee at the basketball games. I supported him at his ice cream shop in the village shopping center. I offer my sympathies and condolences to the family. Rest well my friend.

To Marilyn and family, I was sadden to hear about the passing of Herbie. He was a good friend of mines for many years when I was coaching baseball and basketball. Herbie was a great official in northwest Indiana and was well respected. May God continue to bless you and your family doing this time is my prayer. Norris Taylor and family

Mr. Hicks was a scout leader of my brother and myself. And one of the good members of First Baptist Church. He was a friend of the family he worked with my father at us Steel and he got my father involved with scouting. I can hear him laughing now he had a different laugh it was a good one. He always had a good word for me and I consider him one of the people who influenced me in my life. May God bless him and his family I give my condolences to Mrs. Hicks Kenny and Karla.
