Janna Morrison

62, departed this earth July 15, 2016 at her home in Gary, IN. Janna was born September 20, 1953 in Toledo, OH to the late Robert Drayton and Dorothy Drayton. Janna attended Froebel High School in Gary, IN. She worked at East Chicago Rehab of East Chicago, IN as a CNA, and Summit Hospital of Nashville, TN as a housekeeper. Janna was a loving and devoted wife to Franklin D. Morrison, whom she married June 5, 1969. Franklin and Janna spent 47 blessed years together. Janna found passion in chatting and visiting with her friends and family, and respectfully enjoyed sharing her wisdom with many. She enjoyed reading her bible and novels. Janna had a spirit of gold! Every time you think of her, you are reminded of laughter, fun and many good times. Janna was preceded in death by father, Robert Drayton; sister, Sylvia Drayton; and aunts Rose Ballou and Loise Robinson. Janna leaves behind to cherish her memory, loving husband, Franklin D. Morrison, Gary, IN; daughter Bridgette (Mark) Strong, San Antonio, TX; 3 grandchildren, Whitney Strong, Houston, TX, Casie Strong, Norfolk, VA, & Bryson Strong, San Antonio, TX; mother, Dorothy Drayton, Gary, IN; sister Carla Flemming, Toledo, OH; first cousins Sherry Key, South Bend, IN, Rochelle Robinson, Gary, IN, Darryl (Dominique) Robinson, Lake Station, IN, Esco (Antoinette) Robinson, Hammond, IN, Vanessa Ballou-Mims, Dallas, TX, Melanie Ballou, Gary, IN, Marla Ballou, Grand Prairie, TX, Stacey Ballou, Duluth, GA, and Kimberly Ballou, Grand Prairie, TX; nephew Ira Flemming, Toledo, OH.
