John Tinner Obituary

was born April 22, 1942 in Port Gibson, Mississippi to Lee and Mary Tinner. He was employed at National Tube Works, LeHigh Cement and Inland Steel Co. and retired in 2006. John was a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, served for many years as the Sunday School Superintendent and as a Deacon until his passing. He was preceded in death by both parents; brothers Jimmy, Jerome, Jesse, Frank and Leroy. He leaves to cherish his loving memories devoted Wife Joyce; 2 sons Gregory of Canton, Mississippi; Michael (Carmen) of Indianapolis, IN; 4 grandchildren Ashley of Dallas, Texas; Kimberly and Kelly of Florida; and one grandson Marcus of Indianapolis, IN; great grandson Bryce Cleveland of Dallas, Texas; great granddaughter Nicole Tinner of Florida; one sister Doris Tinner of Fort Worth, Texas; brother David (Corliss) Tinner; Olive Branch of Mississippi; many aunts, uncles, sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation and Family hour Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 10-11am with funeral services immediately following at 11:00am all services at the Pilgrim MB Church, 1301 W. 21st Ave. Officiating Rev. Charles L. Emery. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
