Johnny you were on my mind and somehow I wound up on this page. Thank you for Always coming to see me when I visited Gary. Thankful that I have the pictures of us to look back at. I don't care how bad i would be feeling, you would put on Frankie Beverly and maze ( I could tell by the look in your eyes ) and instantly i would feel better. The word "Good-bye' was something we never would say to each other, even when I moved away it was always Good Night, Call me later,or I Love You...Johnny, I will always cherish my memories of the night we met, it was my 50th Birthday, I went to the Elbow Room for first time since returning to Gary with my neighboor's Sandra n Keith Browder, "Johnny Dollar" was the Dj. You played "Always n Forever" by Heatwave and asked me to dance,you kissed me, the night went on I drank too much disappeared into the Ladies Room, you all found me, club's closing, totally embarrassed you helped me to the car...later to my surprise you called to make sure I was alright, for 10yrs....you were a true "Gentlemen" when most know nothing of the word, you always got out to open the the car door or walk me to my own, seat me at the table before you would sit, cook for me..All the hours of listening and singing to music,watching old movies, our dinner dates,enjoying morning hot chocolate on winter morning drives, enjoying sports together, your Bears against my Cowboys,the sunsets, looking at the moon n stars, nights in my tent, your tender touch.. then late 2014 you said that horrible word "Cancer" I know you didn't want me to know, I will Miss the way you look at me, your smile, the sound of your voice,your humor, your tender touch..no "GOOD-BY JOHNNY"..Just TILL WE MEET AGAIN I will cherish my memories always

To have known him was to love him. You where a true gentleman, never seen you unhappy. You loved and you loved hard. I remember the good times we shared in life, on the card table and your style of spinning those hit songs. Nights when I would walk in the door and you would catch a glimpse of me and the next thing you would be playing my favorite hit by The late Gerald Levert. One thing in life we all must leave here. I loved you God loved you more. Rest in Heaven. You may be gone from this world, never will you be forgotten. Rest assured that we will see each other in heaven.
