From the Brodie family... I am so so sorry... I wasn't aware of her passing until jus now today 5-26-16... she was my God mother and I am ashamed that I didn't stay in contact with her... My condolences and prayers go out to the entire Brown family. I truly miss Mona's presence and talking with her at Zion Temple. I have known her for many years, prior to becoming her sister in Christ at Zion. She always was a sweet spirited person. Praying for you all!

I met Mona Brown and her entire family while I was homeless in Chicago. I got a temporary job in Indiana painting houses and Mrs. Mona Brown invited me and a few other guys to a Saturday morning breakfast in her house. She never looked or treated me as a homeless person. Mona Brown always looked for the good in people. I thank God for placing Mrs. Mona Brown in my life. She will be missed.

Auntie Mona was a beautiful, spiritual, praying woman. She loved to sing at church and I loved to hear her sing. She was always worried about me even when she was dealing with her own health issues and I really love her for that. Auntie Mona I have to get myself together with the Lord so when its my time I can see you again. I love you so much. Im praying for the whole entire Brown family which is my extended family. I love each and every one of yall. God bless
