Nadine was a graduate of Inglewood High School in Chicago,IL. She was a former employee of the U.S. Postal Service for many years. Nadine is preceded in death by husband Ernest Walker, son Greg Sloan, parents Clinton and Callie Mayfield and sister June Cane. She leaves to cherish her fond memories two sons Ernest Walker Jr. and Mario Walker of Chicago, IL; daughter Nancy R. Baker of Atlanta, GA, one step daughter Barbara Britt of Gary, IN and God Daughter Lisa of Gary, Indiana; three grandchildren and six great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 9:00a.m.-1:00p.m. with funeral services to follow at 1:00p.m. all services at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 West 11th Avenue Gary, Indiana 46404. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery
