My prayers and condolences to the family of Ulysses "Lish" Burnett. Lish and I were friends and classmates at Tolleston Jr. High and West Side High. He was always kind, friendly and playful back in the day! He was always willing to give advice and be there for you when no one else would. I pray for his family and friends peace, joy, healing and eternal covering of "Our Father in Heaven".

I am saddened to hear about the passing of my fraternity brother Ulysses Burnett III a.k.a. "Captain" and "Lish"; He was a close friend and Sands to my older cousin and fraternity brother Bruce "Blue" Mosby.
He showed me and my family nothing but the highest degree of love and respect, and for that, I will always hold this GOOD BROTHER IN THE BOND in the highest regard.
I offer my most sincere condolences to his family and close friends.

I just wanted to offer my sincere prayers and condolences to the family of Ulysses Burnett III
I got to know Ulysses, or Bro. Lish as I know him, via both of us being fraternity brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. I must admit he made some very interesting "first impressions" on my sands and I as we were going through our initiation process into Kappa via the Gary (IN) Alumni Chapter back in Spr '08 (when we eventually crossed into Kappaland officially). None the less, Lish was a good brother and was highly admired by all brothers in Gary Alumni and afar as he always was filled with that good ol' Kappa spirit whether it was at chapter meetings, events, etc. I also see that Bro. Lish and I are fellow Cougars as we both share the same high school alma mater (West Side). Ironically, he's the uncle of my own classmate, Ray'shonda Smith.
Bro. Lish will be dearly missed by us all and other who knew him. Again my condolences and prayers go out to the family during this time of bereavement.

Lish did it his way, he lived life to the fullest,
He had a lot of enjoyment as he navigated through life. There are so many good memories to lean on for a long time. Yes, Lish loved to make you laugh your guts out. He was a genuinely good guy.
