Catherine Madison Obituary

Catherine Louise Madison, born on December 24, 1923 to Mr. & Mrs. Edward Johnson in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was the oldest of 4 siblings. She passed away peacefully after a long and happy life on January 14, 2016. She was united in holy matrimony to the late James Irving Madison to this union 3 daughters were born: Vergie, Shelia and Diana all of Gary, Indiana. Catherine worked for 35 years for a company based in Chicago, IL. She will be remembered for her quick wit, boisterous personality and wisdom. She was preceded in death by sisters Leona Rhenwick and Rosa Johnson. She departed this life on Thursday, January 14, 2016. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters Vergie, Shelia and Diana. 4 grandchildren Robert, Conmeka, Johnny and Princess. 6 great grandchildren; brother Edward (Wordie) Johnson and sister Gracile Moore all of Gary, IN and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation Monday, January 25, 2016 from 9 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services at 11:00 a.m. All services at the Guy & Allen Chapel, 2959 W. 11th Ave. Gary, IN. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
