Roosevelt and I were in many of the same classes from the 6th grade through high school. We were also in the Roosevelt High School Concert band and members of the graduating class of 1965. I rarely saw Roosevelt through the years, but at the times our paths would cross, I noted how he maintained a modest and approachable demeanor in spite of his significant Political and Business achievements. To Valerie and the Allen Family,
Life is but a fleeting moment. It goes without saying that Roosevelt led his life to the fullest....caring and loving people with compassion, passion, and a pure zest for life. We don't know the hour or the minute when GOD'S RAPTURE takes us HOME....it's beyond us....it's unfathomable. But what we DO know is we must live our lives in the image of JESUS so one day GOD will say "WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT....WELL DONE!" Matthew 25:21,25

ROOSEVELT (as much as this is so hard to ingest) is and has been GOD'S FAITHFUL SERVANT WHO HAS FOUND HIS PLACE AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE THRONE OF GRACE WITH JESUS!

Ou sincere blessings to you and yours as you travel this path of recovery.

Roosevelt,
Thank you for your service in so many forms to the people. Your readiness to "reach across the aisle" and work with all people of "good will" were rare qualities these days. As a fellow member of the NIRPC Executive Board, I learned many new skills in working for the best interests of all Northwest Indiana. I always appreciated your honesty and candor, traits which I will try my best to emulate. May the peace of Christ be with your family as you journey "home".
