Roosevelt and I were in many of the same classes from the 6th grade through high school. We were also in the Roosevelt High School Concert band and members of the graduating class of 1965. I rarely saw Roosevelt through the years, but at the times our paths would cross, I noted how he maintained a modest and approachable demeanor in spite of his significant Political and Business achievements. I extend my condolences to the Allen Family.

Valerie, I was so shocked to hear you loss your brother Roosevelt Jr. I had the privilege of meeting and talking with him one time. Listening and reading what everyone was saying about him, I agree.
Losing 3 brothers myself, I understand the pain you must endure. Roosevelt was more then just a brother, he was a business partner and I know you will truly miss him.

Roosevelt was our neighbor for many years on Roosevelt Street. Milton and I were so deeply sadden to hear of his passing. We have fond memories of fun-times with him and more importantly...ROOSEVELT ALWAYS REMAINED THE SAME!! He loved his family, citizens of Gary; and he was always willing to help others.
