Henry Clarke Obituary

Clarke, Henry Byam Sr., 86 peacefully went to be with the Lord, Monday, October 10, 2016, at home in Gary, Indiana. Henry was born in Lower Peachtree, Alabama, August 10, 1930 to Dossie and Luvertia Clarke. He was the youngest of six children. MAN, as his family and friends called him, loved cars. He was a retired employee of GATX Corp. Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Dossie and Luvertia Clarke, three brothers and one sister and his lovely wife Hattie Mae Clarke and youngest daughter Julia Mae Clarke. He is survived by his sister, Fannie Lou Crosby and his children, Carolyn Carter-Gould, Henry Byam Clarke Jr.,? Bernard Clarke, Mary Cain, Patricia Clarke and Madronica Clarke, four grandchildren and two great- grandchildren with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 11:00am viewing at 10:00am all services at New Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church 1917 Carolina Street, Gary, Indiana where Rev. W. N. Reed is pastor. Rev. Mark Cain officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
