I signed this book a couple of days ago, but now would be interested to hear how & where exactly your mother spent the last several years of her life. Another former customer of mine & neighbor of yours, Mrs. McConnell, also signed the book, but also did not know your Mom had returned to town from Wanatah.

You have lost a precious and loving mother. I know she loved her boys with all her heart.
In the last conversation I had with her, just before Christmas. She told me, nothing in her life compared to the the way she felt, when she became a mother! All she wanted was for her boys to be happy.
Her earthly body may be gone, but her love will never leave you.
Remember how happy she was to see her three boys together. Let that always stay with you!
You all are in my thoughts and prayers!.

I recall doing so much plumbing & other misc. work for Chris & Dolores at their home on Barton Ln in Bradfield Park. Their lower level garage flooded during heavy rains due to the street flooding, so it was eventually bricked up & made into a family room, but then the sump pump could not handle the water from the roof after they used railroad ties as an edging for the shrubbery, but after I told them to remove them, those problems ceased. Then they had water entering their fireplace. Finally, it seemed when all their issues were resolved, they sold & moved. We enjoyed visiting the couple occasionally on trips we made to Chicago, or to VU where I graduated from with a BSME degree in 1966.
