Malcolm Allen Modisette was born on May 17, 1952 in Gary, Indiana to Theron and Fannie May Modisette. Malcolm gained his wings on Sunday, May 14, 2017. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He attended Calumet High School in Hobart, Indiana. He worked and retired after 3 decades from U.S. Gary Steel. He was preceded in death by his parents Fannie May Dickens and Theron Modisette, 3 brothers, Noody Modisette, Prentiss Modisette and Shug Modisette. He leaves to mourn his beautiful wife of 37 years Pamela Modisette, 4 sons-Daniel Modisette (Raychel), Winston Modisette, Michael Modisette and Malcolm Modisette, Jr. 4 daughters-Yvonne McKinnon (Hugh), Dawn Hones (Donte), Lilya Modisette and Charmaine Modisette. He also leaves behind his favorite auntie Allean Johnson, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Services Thursday, May 25, 2017. Wake 9:30 a.m. Funeral 12:00 p.m. at Powell Coleman Funeral Home 3200 W. 15th Ave Gary, IN. Final burial Fern Oak Griffith, IN.

Malcolm was more than a friend, he was family, the Modisette family accepted me into their family long ago as Shug and I became lasting friends, becoming closer than brothers and Malcolm was a big brother to the both of us and will be sorely missed.
