To the family of one amazing teacher, man and friend! Not a day goes by that I don't remember him telling us what would happen if we didn't wear our seat belts...definitely knew how to engage his students and encouraged us to be better than average!! I have often wondered how he was and where he was...now I know and my heart is going out to you...if he cared that much for us can't imagine how much love he had for you! Great man was lost the day he passed but, he will never be forgotten and will always live on with the memories from his students and family!! God bless you all and rest in peace Mr. Wead!!

Mary, Debbie and David: I am so sorry for your loss. I really loved Chuck as a great teacher. He really prepared me well for college anatomy and biology when I went to the U of M for physical therapy degree. He had a knack of helping us remember and understand things and a great sense of humor too. God bless you all! Sheryl (Thorn) Mans

This man encouraged me to be an EMT for our local Ambulance back when I was a senior in high school. Because of him I am still on the service almost 20 years later. He was a fun teacher and made sciences so interesting. Thank you Chuck for being a teacher, you made a difference in a lot of lives!!!

I was chatting with Chuck by FaceTime Monday afternoon like we always did. He was teasing me about not being a member of the NRA like he always would do. The next morning I found out about his passing so I made plans to visit Mary, Debbie and David. Shortly after getting there, Mary handed me a stack of NRA rifleman magazines. She said right after we talked Chuck grabbed a years worth of them. She said "I think these are for you" I know Chuck is smiling knowing he made his point again:)

Mary, David and Debbie,
Sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers. When your own children use terms like "the best I have had" "Mr Wead makes it so easy to learn" you know their education is in good hands.

Mr. Wead was my most influential teacher at BPHS. He was a great teacher-loved his Anatomy & Physiology Classes. He taught with a passion...you ALWAYS remembered what he taught! He was amazing. I have been in health care for 30 + years and still remember how he taught us all the bones/muscles/nerves of the human body! I, also, had the honor of him being my EMT on my 1st ever ambulance ride as the patient! He was an outstanding person! You have my sympathy on the loss of a great man!

I think it was my mom who said, regarding Chuck, "Now there's a guy who really wants kids to learn! "
To this day I remember body parts because of student participation in creative classroom demonstrations. He was a favorite for a lot of us.
My heart goes out to you.

Mary, David, Debbie and family...
I want to express my deepest Sympathy to all of you in the loss of Mr. Wead. He was my favorite teacher. I loved his Anatomy class and his style of teaching. His class made me realize my love for science and that is why I chose a career in the medical field. He is also the reason I wear my seatbelt daily as I have since I took his Anatomy class over 30 years ago. He was a great friend and hunting partner to my Dad and Brother. He had a great smile. I am deeply saddened by the news of his passing. I wanted to share some of the wonderful memories I have of him. I bet he was a Great Grandpa! You will be in my thoughts and prayers. So many good memories of him! I still remember the names of some of the bones in the hand because of his song to memorize them...scaphoid lunate triangular trapezium! Such a great teacher! He will be missed! RIP Mr Weed! To his family I'll keep you in my thoughts & prayers!

Dear Mary, David, and Deb,

I am saddened to read of Chuck's passing yesterday and want you to know that you're in my thoughts and prayers. Chuck was a phenomenal teacher and a guy who could usually bring a smile to my face with his jokes and antics in the lounge. In fact, I can still remember his laugh. I'm sure his students and fellow teachers all have their own. special stories, as he really did touch many lives. My husband and I will be making a donation to the BP Education Foundation in his name. May you find comfort and peace in your memories.
