Gordon Nehring Obituary
Gordon E. Nehring, Kaukauna, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Fox Valley Rehab in Appleton. He was born on July 3, 1931 in Waupaca County, son of the late Edward and Etta (Peterson) Nehring. On June 22, 1963 he was united in marriage to Jean Summers and together they celebrated 40 years of marriage. Gordon served his country in the US Army, stationed in Germany following WWII. He was employed for many years in the Appleton area as a security guard for Pinkertons. Gordon was an avid gamer that loved his trips to the casinos.
He is survived by his children: Wayne (Vickie) Nehring, Robert Nehring, Darwin (Sherry) Nehring, Darlene Smith, and Diane (Fred) Perna; ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; three sisters: Pat (Pete) Theobald, Margaret (Duane) Zehren, and Gordis (Arnie) Dallum; a brother-in-law, George Schroeder. He is further survived by Jean's family: Maggie Drawnek, Merlin (Bonnie) Summers, Margaret Summers, and Joe Young
as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Gordon was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ken Smith, sisters and brothers-in-law: Norma (Marcel) Rohlinger, June Schroeder, Hazel (Ed) Sonnleitner, Eunice (Larry) Sonnleitner, Sally (James) Cihlar and Jean's relation: Joe Drawnek, Garfield (Harriet) Summers, Thomas Summers, Blanche (Sylvester) Michicalski, and Marie Young.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 PM until the time of services. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Kaukauna. www.boettcherfamilyfuneral.com
