James Hein Obituary

Hein, James "Jim" R.

James R. Hein, 78, of Clintonville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 25, 2015. He was born January 26, 1937, in the Township of Bear Creek to Max and Ida (Krueger) Hein.

Jim grew up on the family farm and lived there until his unexpected death. He graduated from Clintonville High School in 1954. He married Shirley Fredrick on June 12, 1960, at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville. They were happily married for 55 years, raising four children on the farm.

Jim was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bear Creek, serving God and others by holding many church offices through the years. He also was a member of the National Guard and the Two-Cylinder Club. Jim enjoyed farming, woodworking, spending time in the woods, riding his motorcycle and polka dancing. But most of all, Jim loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, neighbors and friends.

Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons: Scott (Donna) Hein of Bear Creek, WI, and Mark (Jill) Hein of Sun Prairie, WI; two daughters: Kathy (Bryan) Edgett of Coatesville, PA, and Michelle (Kevin) Schertz of Clintonville, WI; 7 grandchildren: Bethany Edgett; Max Hein; Ashley, Megan, Emily and Hannah Schertz; and Nathan Mulder; 1 great-grandchild: Carter Anthes.

He is further survived by three sisters: Bernice Behnke, Betty Wisnefske and Joyce Hoffman; four sisters-in-law: Joyce Vissers, Nancy Hein, Margie Hicks and Delores Lettau; and a brother-in-law: Dennis (Marie) Fredrick.

Jim was preceded in death by sisters: Laura (Clarence) Wisnefske, Eleanor (Marvin) Wendt; Mildred Hein, and Evelyn (Louis) Bonke; brothers: Marvin (Jeanette) Hein; Lyle Hein, Arlyn Hein and Elroy Hein; brothers-in-law: Clarence Behnke, Milton Wisnefske, Arlyn Hoffman, Leonard Lettau and Dennis Vissers.

Jim's funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Township of Bear Creek, Waupaca County with Rev. Michael Stock officiating. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville with full military honors conducted by members of the Clintonville American Legion Post #63 and VFW Post #664.

Friends may call from 4 - 8 PM Tuesday at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville and at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by Jim's family. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
