Beloved companion of William Schiff; devoted mother of Andrea Harris-Alschuler (Steven), Jesse (Perry) Scheck, and the late Ari Scheck; sister of Maury (Renee Feldman) Herman and the late Michael Herman and Pamela Hill; grandmother of Brittany Rogo; also survived by nieces and nephews. Services were held at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC. Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery.

My very deepest sympathy to Berna's family. She was a loving, kind compassionate, giving woman. It was truly an honor knowing her.
Some say that if only one person we help in life then God will bring salvation.
I'm sure I was among many that Berna helped as she was so willing to give to others the peace and serenity that had been given to her.
Her inspiration and guidance helped me through one of the most difficult times of my life.
I am forever grateful and will never forget her.
My heart is heavy with sadness for the loss but I know that she now rests in the arms of God, accompanied by Michael, Pam and her beloved Ari.
Rest in peace my dear friend and thank you for touching my life.
