JAMES RANSOM Obituary
Age 67, of Marshall Twp., formerly of Murfreesboro, TN, on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Beloved husband of Joan Ransom for 30 years; father of Jenn Collins, Ward Ransom, Andrew Ransom and Chris Ransom; grandfather of Alder and Josey Collins; brother of Carol Troop, Laura Hunt and Frank Ransom, Jr. Vann was an incredibly fun loving, bright and energetic man. His laughter and spirit will be missed by so many. Friends will be received SUNDAY 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at GEORGE A. THOMA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 10418 Perry Hwy., Wexford. Private funeral services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to ABOARD'S Autism Connection of PA, 35 Wilson St., Suite 100, Pittsburgh, PA 15223 or www. autismofpa.org.

So today is Vann's birthday. Vann and I worked together at John Hancock Insurance for several years, and studied for and received our CLU together. We were good friends for many years, but had lost touch in recent times.
Needless to say, I'm so sorry to have looked Vann up and learn he died at such a young age.
Joan, I remember when you and Vann were married, and I send you my condolences. Vann was a super bright man with a tremendous personality. I pray for you and the children that God has granted you peace.
So thanks, Vann, for the many good times together, and I pray you are resting in peace.
