LOUISE ANN "LUANN"
Age 63, of Elizabeth Township, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 5, 2017. She was born September 22, 1953, in McKeesport and was the daughter of Phillip Barth of Greenbackville, VA, and Elinor Gala Morris formerly of Jefferson Hills. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 43 years, Carl F. Cochenour; daughters, Julianne (Kevin) Slogick of Crafton and Lauren (Joe) Cochenour of Cincinnati, OH; sister, Elaine (Michael) Prodan of Flushing, OH; her grandchildren, whom she adored, John and Brooks Slogick; and many nieces and nephews. LuAnn was a member of the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church. She had a varied career in nursing, most recently serving as Director of Nursing Administration at the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh. She enjoyed craft shows, sales, good food, cooking and her church family. However, what she will be most remembered for is her endless generosity and total devotion to her family. Friends are welcome Tuesday, May 9, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, (412) 672-6322, Troy J. Gilbert, Director. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. in the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church with The Rev. William K. Little, officiating. (Everyone please meet at the church.) Interment will follow in the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township. Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church, 2200 Buena Vista Road, McKeesport, PA 15135. Condolences may be made at gilbertfuneralhome andcrematory.com.

Dear Julianne and Lauren,
I am so shocked and saddened to just hear of your mom's passing. I so enjoyed working with her when you girls were in high school. We would meet from time to time at the grocery store and we would catch up. I just saw her a few months ago. She was always so proud of you girls and ready to share your accomplishments. She was a very kind, compassionate and loving person. I will never forget her laughing and hugs. She was a good boss and was very understanding considering where and who we worked with.
