I remember Larry from Gateway Senior High school. If memory serves, he was ahead of me a couple of years. I never forgot how he looked out for me and did not allow others to push me around. Always liked him for not only that but for the kindhearted guy he was and how encouraging he was to me as a musician. One memory always comes back. The memory has faded somewhat but it had to do with gym class or the tryouts for football (yeh, I think that was it) and me running the mile. Some wize guy kid was razzing me the whole time before we were officially timed for whatever reason. It was a big deal at the time and Larry believed in me and predicted loudly that I would come through in the end and beat this guy who was trying to bully me. I did. Hey Larry, thank you my man and may the almighty always look out for you and keep your soul, your family and friends warm and comfortable. Much love and admiration,

I'd like to express my deepest condolence for the passing of Larry. I met and competed against Larry in the 6th grade field meet. During our time in school we became competitors, teammates and friends (we were mile relay teammates). I have always had the deepest respect for Larry and his “can do” attitude. Larry will be greatly missed.

RIP Larry: thankyou for being so wonderful to the girls when you coached their softball team long ago. Being a singlemom I didn't even know how to put those stupid sox things on and you taught them how to uniform up, besides playing ball. =) My thoughts & prayers go out to your children and all family&friends.

Gina, Kelly and family, we were shocked and deeply saddened to hear (just tonite) of Larry's passing. We grew up together "on the hill" in Pitcairn and have so many great memories. Mario and Larry also played baseball for years together; it seems like yesterday. May God bless you both and your family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I think I met Larry in the 7th grade when we played basketball together. He could really jump. He was the first person I knew who could touch the rim. I remember him as a good guy with a great sense of humor. He was too young to have something like this happen to him. My deepest sympathies to his family. God's peace!
