ROBINETTE MARGARET B. "PEGGY"
Margaret B. "Peggy" Robinette, age 83, a resident of Sewickley for the past 23 years, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at UPMC Presbyterian surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Pittsburgh on July 7, 1927, daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Essie) Bailey. On January 28, 2008, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, William Alexander Robinette. Loving mother of William Alexander Robinette Jr. (Karen) of Pittsburgh, Bradley Alan Robinette (Sherry) of Evergreen, CO, Margaret Lynn Gsegner (Robert) and Joann Marie Godwin (Bert) all of Marietta, GA; cherished grandmother of Monique Robinette, Ryan Alexander Robinette (Danelle), Kristin Diane Robinette, Corey Alan Robinette, Allison Dawn Robinette, Courtney Taylor Morrel (Robert), Kirby Meredith Holder (Ryan), Amanda Gsegner, Adam Gsegner (Aileen), Margaret Kate and Matthew Bert Godwin; proud great-grandmother of Chase Alexander Morrel. A 1944 graduate of Schenley High School and a 1948 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University with a B.S. in Speech. Member of Christ Church at Grove Farm. Served on the Board of Directors of Sewickley Women's Club, Past President of Sewickley Music Club, Past President and other offices of Sewickley Valley Hospital Auxiliary, President of PA Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries (PAHA); held many national and local offices in both Pittsburgh and Atlanta in her beloved sorority of Alpha Chi Omega including Province President, National Convention Manager, Pittsburgh and Atlanta Chapter President. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m. at COPELAND'S SEWICKLEY, 702 Beaver St. Please meet at Christ Church at Grove Farm 249 Duff Rd., Sewickley, PA 15143 for Funeral Service on Saturday at 11 a.m., officiated by Rev. Barry Mariana. Family suggests donations in her name to Alpha Chi Omega Foundation, Inc. 5939 Castle Creek Parkway North Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46250-4343, PA. Association of Hospital Auxiliaries (PAHA), Attention: Jeannette Bortner, 4750 Lindle Rd., P.O. Peggy was a dear friend and mentor and will be remembered fondly in the months and years to come. Our association through PAHA and the Southwest Region of PAHA will not be forgotten. I valued her friendship so much. Our prayers are with her family at this time.
