MICHAEL JAKUBOVIC Obituary
Age 68 of West Mifflin. On Feb. 13, 2010. Jake retired in 2001 as a Social Studies Teacher from the West Mifflin area School District. He was also the former Athletic Director, a former member of the West Mifflin School Board, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Allegheny Intermediate Unit & the Steel Valley Consortium. He was the son of the late John & Margaret (Hrizo) Jakubovics; beloved husband of 50 years to Barbara (Vargo) Jakubovic; father of Marc Jakubovic of Anchorage, AK, Jon (Lori) Jakubovic of West Mifflin, Mikelene (Michael) Teter of Baldwin & the late Dean A. Jakubovic; grandfather of Lauren & Lindsey Jakubovic, Rachel Jakubovic, Gianna & Alexa Teter & Abigail Jakubovic; brother of John (Anita) Jakubovics of West Mifflin, Betty Ann (late Donald) Galya of West Mifflin, Marjorie (late John) Moritz of South Park, Dolores Bartko of Donora, Ernest (Carol) Jakubovic of Valencia & the late Richard Jakubovics & the late Edward W."Whitey" Hrizo Sr.; brother-in-law of Maryann Hrizo of McKeesport, Audrey Jakubovics & Michael (Charlotte) Vargo of Butler; also many nieces, nephews & wonderful friends. Visitation Sunday Feb. 21 & Mon. Feb. 22, 2-4 & 7 -9 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 Kennedy Ave, Duquesne, 412-466-3300 where Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday Feb. 23 at 11 a.m.

We are sorry to hear of the death of Mr. Jakubovic. Mr Jake taught me at North (1971) and we have continued to be friends. I have worked for Wmasd for years, he was such a nice person. My son being a committee man was always at the high school during the elections and also knew him well. You have our deepest sympathy.

Dear Jakubovic Family, I am so sorry to hear of the death of Mr. Jakubovic (Jake). He will be missed, he was my buddy at the WMASD meetings. He would always joke, asking if I was talking about him when I would be talking to my daughter. He was always so nice and friendly asking how I was doing (I will be 82 next week).
