JOHN CUMMINGS Obituary
Age 82, of Mars, passed away quietly at home on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. The son of the late James and Florence (Graff) Cummings, he was born in 1933 in Pittsburgh. Jack was a lifelong resident of the North Hills and served in the U.S. Army and retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Parish in Wexford, as well as being a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Olives Council. Jack was an avid genealogist, amateur archaeologist and musician. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Mary; and his children, Ann Kinzler and her partner, Robert Barbarini, CMSgt. John Cummings and his wife, Tracy; grandchildren, Evan Kinzler, Cooper and Eva Grace Cummings. Surviving brothers include Bob (Fran), Joe (Nancy) Terry (Marianne); brother- in-law, John (Jan); and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers, Bill and Jim. Friends received FRIDAY 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the GEORGE A. THOMA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 10418 Perry Hwy., Wexford, PA 15090. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Church, Wexford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to T.R.Y. A Special Needs Organization, P.O. Box 40, Wexford, PA 15090.
