I know it's been 6 years, I think my favorite memory is when I was living in Spain at the time and I had miles come over for a summer and stay with me and we went to summer camp in asturias and there we watch the world Cup together.

Everything about Miles was a breath of fresh air. His uniqueness, his ideas, his love for music, and his ability to see people for who they really were. Miles will always be my best friend and the love that got away. Miles, I love you man. Be easy. My condolences to the Saal family and everyone who loved Miles like i did.

I seen a friend on my FB feed speak about Saal's passing. I decided to check into his music.. and I soon found his artwork too. It's amazing and he seems so talented. Gone way too soon. Rest in Peace. I'm truly a fan.

Miles Edwin Saal. You were a part of my life for over half my existence. I don't know what im going to do without you. I Already miss you more than words can explain. Daily i will long for you and wish i could send you a snapchat of anything that reminds me of you. You changed me so much as an adolescent, as an artist, as a person. I love you to pieces. No one carried as much sunshine as you. No one bothered to be so carefree, or to be so loving. You took the time to make everyone feel loved by you. You took the time to hug and kiss every last one of the people you held dear. I think you taught me how to love others. When you moved away it shattered my heart... i thought i knew pain then.... but missing you now is the most painful thing i could imagine. I know this hurts but Miles, i think of you every waking moment and I'll see you soon. We will be okay.

I met Miles when he was only 6 years old. I would pick him up from the rec center after school and would ask him what kind of music he would like to listen to. He answered "jazz!!". I was stunned. What 6 year old listens to jazz??
I didn't even know what radio station jazz was on. I knew he was very special. I can remember his laugh when watching Sponge Bob and his excitement of wanting to open all his birthday presents, going to the park, bike riding, bath, dinner, and story time were priceless. Even 15 years gone by, no matter the long distance, I still remember and talk about all our great times together. You made me a better person and a great mother to my daughter.
Rest easy Miles - love you kid and always have a special place in my ❤

I'll always remember the day Noah and Miles showed up to our house, soaked to the skin because they had been caught in a downpour. Noah loaned Miles some dry clothes and asked me if I could drive him back home. That was when Miles and his family had just moved to Pittsburgh, and Miles wasn't exactly sure where he lived, so it was a small adventure trying to get him home that day. Noah and Miles became fast friends, and through them, I became friends with Jimmy, Felicia and Marley (and Duke). It's so hard to say farewell to a sweet, talented, caring young man such as Miles. He will always hold a special place in our hearts. My deepest condolences to Jimmy, Felicia and Marley. I pray that you will find comfort in this most difficult time.

Felicia, Jimmy and Marley,
Saying goodbye to someone you love is never easy. We can only imagine the heartbreak of losing someone you created, love and nurtured. Our prayer for you is for strength, comfort and peace. Be sure that Nate and me have all of you in our thoughts and in our hearts. One day the loving and fun memories of your handsome, creative, talented and insightful son Miles will bring smiles, laughter and joy. His awesome collection of music and art lives forever and it will be a great and joyous day when you all are ready to share and celebrate his music and art contributions in your own special way. In the meantime, we smile as we know that beyond the clouds, where spirits and angels thrive, he is reuniting with grandmothers, my brother Tom and others. We love you guys. Forever in our hearts - Mona and Nate Wallace
