JOSEPH MUSKOVAC Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 22 to Feb. 23, 2010.
MUSKOVAC JOSEPH "JOE" R.
Of Penn Hills, on Saturday, February 20, 2010 following a courageous two-year battle with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. Joe is fondly remembered as an auto parts professional. He began his career as the Parts Manager at Ted McWilliams Motor City, and for several years afterwards he was the sole proprietor of Ideal Foreign Car Parts in North Versailles. Prior to his illness, Joe was most recently employed at Import Parts Distributors in East Liberty. Joe had a never ending interest in all sports and was an avid fan of Pittsburgh Steeler Football and Pittsburgh Penguin Hockey. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, golfing, ballroom dancing, dining out and sharing time with friends. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Joe is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Sandra Lee (Moran) Muskovac, his faithful Papillon companion, Sidney, father-in-law William R. Moran, nephew Brian Moran and cousins. Joe was preceded in death by his parents John and Stella Muskovac, mother-in-law Helen Moran and brother-in-law William R. Moran Jr. Joe's wife, Sandy, would like to thank their many wonderful friends, neighbors and relatives who have provided support through this very sad and difficult time. She would also like to thank the outstanding medical staff of the Hillman Cancer Center, UPMC Shady Side Hospital, Oncology- Hematology Association (Monroeville), and Forbes Regional Hospital (Monroeville) for their care and kindness in treating Joe. Friends welcome Tuesday 2-8 pm at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh 412-824-8800 where a Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Sandy,
We don't have words to express our profound pain and sorrow at the loss of Joe. He always had a smile and a joke. He fought for a long time (you both did), but now he is at peace and in no pain. He will be watching you always. If you need anything, shoulder to cry on, someone to scream at, whatever, I'm here for you. Our prayers have been with you for 2 years and will continue to be with you always.
Love,
Sue and Jon Simpson
